Love for Layla Fundraiser

Donation protected
Meet Layla. She brings so much light to those around her, but has recently been faced with some really tough times. Layla has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, which is a group of cancers that affect her bone marrow and the ability to generate healthy blood cells. Over the past several months, Layla has undergone numerous tests which have led to her diagnosis, as well as weekly blood transfusions to maintain her blood levels. She will have chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant at Sick Kids in Toronto, Ontario and will be staying at the Ronald McDonald house when her healing journey begins.

The burden of uninsured medical expenses, as well as not being able to work when Layla receives treatment during the next few months, is an added stress that we are hoping to help ease for her family. Any amount that you are able to contribute will help make the transition from treatment to recovery a positive one - something we would be forever thankful to see.

Over the past several months, Layla has met her scary and uncomfortable truths with so much bravery and spirit. She is an artist in the making, who loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Please help Layla get back to enjoying being an 11 year old and leave cancer behind.

This is one of the many examples of how "it takes a village". We need you. Thank you in advance for your love and support.
