FC United of Manchester - walk2support
A fan with a plan to celebrate the return of supporters inside stadiums by completing a 200km fundraising walk from my home in Tewkesbury Gloucestershire to Broadhurst Park, the home of FC United of Manchester.
I'll be setting off on my journey on Saturday 19th June 2021 and will arrive at the stadium on Saturday 26th June ready for the FC United legends game, the Club's first post lockdown event.
I'm a co-owner and season ticket holder at FC and my fundraiser is fully endorsed by the Club, with all money raised going directly to the Club. After the devastating financial effects caused by the pandemic my aim is for the funds to be used on as many areas as possible, doing my small bit to help after what has been an incredibly challenging time for us all.
Our non footballing projects continue to be integral to the local community, as highlighted on BBC's The One Show, and the community spirit, hard work and dedication shown by co-owners and volunteers has been truly incredible.
I hope we can all come together yet again to raise as much money as possible for this beautiful Club of ours.
