Rebuilding Hope: Support Khalid's Family's Escape from Gaza
Donation protected
Hello, I'm reaching out on behalf of my cousin Khalid, who's currently facing immense challenges in Gaza. Khalid, along with his wife Nour and their two children, 14-year-old Nada and 11-year-old Anas, are desperate to escape the conflict-ridden streets and find safety elsewhere.
Your kindness can make all the difference. By contributing, you'll be providing them with the means to embark on a journey towards a brighter future. Your support will cover expenses like permits to leave Gaza for the entire family, including crossing fees at Rafah. The Egyptian agency Ya Hala is charging $5000 USD per adult and $2500 USD per child.
Please keep in mind that GoFundMe transaction fees will apply, but every dollar counts. Together, we can offer Khalid and his loved ones the chance they deserve—a chance for safety, stability, and hope.
Thank you for considering and for your compassion.

From Khalid:
I'm Khalid. My family and I have survived four previous wars on our city and more than 17 military escalations. But this war was different... The bombardment has not ceased since the outbreak of the conflict on Gaza in October.
Gaza has been enduring over 200 days of relentless destruction and bombing, which resulted in the targeting and complete destruction of my workplace. I lost my company, which I had founded years ago, to a fierce inferno that engulfed the area. The company crumbled, taking with it my hopes and aspirations.
It was a symbol of creativity and artistry, as I worked in the field of design and advertising. I invested all my efforts and practical experience in developing and succeeding in my business. I saved all my money in this office to be a source of income for me and my family.
I established the company and equipped it with hard work and dedication. I spared no effort in upgrading it with the latest machines and equipment to serve and meet the needs of our clients. Additionally, I supervised the training of many graduates and students in various design programs and Arabic calligraphy courses, as I mastered this field.
It was not just a workplace; it was a dream, a life, and a place for creativity and art. I succeeded in gaining the trust of many local institutions, companies, and factories as their accredited designer.
Since the first week of the war, we evacuated our home and headed to areas in southern Gaza considered safer. We were forced to flee, taking only official documents, a few basic necessities, and clothes that meet our needs.
We moved to more than 7 places in search of safety, still living in hope of returning to our homes. Our home, too, was destroyed by intense shelling that targeted the area where we lived. It was completely destroyed, and all its contents were stolen.
Our warm home, where my small family and I lived, we chose everything in it with love. We chose the finest and the best, despite the difficult circumstances we experienced before the war due to the blockade imposed on Gaza.
God blessed us with my 14-year-old daughter, Nada, and my 11-year-old son, Anas. My children have been deprived this year of attending their schools and completing their education like other children around the world.
My children have become familiar with the sounds of rockets and shells; they have known the meaning of fear and destruction since childhood. They sleep and wake up to the sounds of warplanes and rockets, despite our attempts to keep them away from these conditions.
My children never stop asking us about our home, their toys, their clothes, and their bedroom. They always ask us about the war and the return, and we don't know what to answer.
I kindly request your support through this link to help me and my small family leave the city of Gaza so we can start a new life and build a future for our children in peace and safety.
