Memorial Fund for Rick Robinson

Hi, I'm Rebecca Weber, a friend and former coworker of Rick Robinson. I started this GoFundMe fundraiser to help Rick's son, Ricky, and his family with memorial arrangements and travel expenses for the family to come to Santa Barbara to support Ricky and attend the memorial service. I hope you will join me in supporting Ricky as he honors his dear father.

Whenever I asked Rick how he was doing regardless of the circumstances, he always replied, "I'm blessed." Those who knew Rick know that he led a transformed life. He loved sharing the gospel with residents in the 12-month Residential Treatment Program at the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission while working as a drug and alcohol residential treatment specialist. He delivered many sermons to homeless guests in the Mission's chapel, and former guests still marvel over his powerful prayers at dinnertime. On one of his many hospital stays, I remember he was so excited about having an all-night praise session with God like Paul and Silas in prison (Acts 16:25-34). Rick also loved sharing the inclusive good news with the prisoners in Lompoc, quoting one of his favorite scriptures "Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." 1 Corinthians 1:26-27.
