A cause I care about needs help
Around 2 weeks before Christmas my mum had a stroke. She suffered a dissection of the carotid artery, complicated by a clot in the MCA . She underwent an extremely risky operation which was vital for her to survive. It was such a shock to everyone as she's the fittest and healthiest women we know. Everyday since her operation she has surprised us with the strength she's shown and her determination to recover. Everyday she looks stronger and stronger and is making real progress. My mum has been an inspiration to everyone through this challenging time and has really shown us she's stronger than anyone we know.
Lucy and I have decided to raise money for the Stroke Association to raise awareness and support people who have unfortunately been affected by a stroke. We have other amazing volunteers who have decided to join us in fundraising. We have decided to complete 45 miles (for mums age) in a selected activity within 10 days. Any donation would be appreciated in hoping to raise £1,000 for the stroke association.
