FDNY Foundation Fundraiser for NYC Marathon

I'm running the NYC Marathon for the FDNY Foundation this year. The foundation helps pickup where the city leaves off in funding for the NYC Bravest. This includes providing funding for training, fire safety education and much more.

I'll be running in honor of Kevin Smith (HazMat 1), Bob Newman (Ladder 18) and Pat Lauro (Ladder 47). Kevin and Pat both volunteered with the East Farmingdale Fire Dept where I currently serve as Lieutenant. Bob was a longtime neighbor of mine who loved the FDNY with all his heart. Kevin was one of the 343 FDNY firefighters we lost on September 11th. Bob and Pat are both part of the 343 that we have lost since to 9/11 related illnesses.
