Mission Trip to Haiti - Orphanage
Donation protected
Hello Dear friends!
The Lord has truly blessed our family in so many ways! God has provided us many ways to share His love over the years but a new opportunity has been placed before us to spread his love and compassion with children in need of His tender mercies. My son, Alex, and I are planning to go to Haiti in December of this year to help complete needed projects at the New Center of Refuge Orphanage in Les Cayes, Haiti. The orphanage is part of Ministry In Mission, which is a non-profit corporation that has grown out of mission work started in 2007. The ministry began with several people making an initial mission trip to the Children of Israel Orphanage in Les Cayes Haiti. The Lord moved Missionaries to continue trips to Haiti and provide humanitarian aid as well as spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. The orphange grew exponentially after the earthquake in 2010.
I had heard about the orphange through the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) and their continued support of this mission, I felt the need to be more involved. At the June 2014 LWML Ohio District Convention , the LWML ladies made over 175 sock dolls to be sent to the orphange. Well, that was the Lord's way of saying "Lisa, take the dolls to them personally and GET INVOLVED!!" I listened! I felt the Lord called me and what a gift to be able to take Alex! We want to develop a greater compassion for His people and to directly share His love with them.
It is our prayer that God would shine His light and life through us. We can't think of a better way to spend a special week in December than with God’s children! in Haiti
We are praying that YOU will also be part of our team and help and support us in the following ways:
Through your prayers - Prayer is a critical part of any ministry and Alex and I (and other members of our team) will need your prayers for strength and endurance, as well as for guidance as we prepare to GO teach and minister to the people and children of Haiti. We also ask for prayers and peace for our families here in Kentucky while we are gone.
Through monetary support for the mission in Haiti. Alex and I are paying for our trip. But, we want to be able to deliver not only the sock dolls, but monetary contributions to continue to build a kitchen for the orphange, construct a cistern, dig a well, build a fence, and construct a water reservoir.
If you are moved to do so, please send your donations for these projects and we will deliver the money to the orphanage in December. Alex and I will be helping with these construction projects as well as helping with the children who need love and attention. Pleae prayerfully consider a donation. You can read about the projects at www.ministryinmission.org
Alex and I plan on sending e-mail and Facebook updates while we are in Haiti and will be sure that these are communicated to YOU!
Thank you for helping us in any way you can! We pray that we and our team can make a small difference in the lives of the Haitian children!
