Joey Marino Fundraiser

Many of you have been following Joey's story since he arrived in Los Angeles a little over a year ago. We have decided to start a new GoFundMe for Joey. We are not the same group of folks who sponsored the previous one. Joey tried alternative medicines, saw many different doctors, but received no answers. Joey does not have permanent housing. In fact, he has been jumping from hospital to hospital and from dangerous facilities to sub-par care homes. And we are working on finding him a more permanent place where he can be safe and not worry what will happen next. The tardive dyskinesia means he has extreme, involuntary movements of his face and body. He also has a lot of pain from dystonia. The tourette's syndrome causes uncontrollable vocalizations which is a barrier in a group environment. A search for suitable living quarters is underway but it is a very challenging task especially since Joey's income is limited. We are very worried about Joey and know that raising money is one way to help him afford an appropriate living situation and get the medical services he needs and deserves. Joey is very, very grateful to those who donated previously; it helped him get to California and try some alternative treatments. Any donation is appreciated. Please share with family and friends!
