Masaka Kids Africana is a community-based organization in Masaka, Uganda.

My name is Suuna Hassan, and I started this home in 2013 as a safe place for orphaned and vulnerable children — a family for those who had no one to care for them.

Growing up, I spent part of my own childhood on the streets. I know what it feels like to be hungry, lonely, and without a place to call home. Those painful experiences shaped my life and gave me a mission: to become a father and protector for children who have lost theirs.

At Masaka Kids Africana, we provide love, shelter, education, and hope. Through music and dance, our children share their joy and resilience with the world — showing that no matter where you come from, your dreams are valid and your spirit can shine bright.
