Christmas Outreach for the Needy and Homeless

My name is Alberta Ablordeppey. CEO of Highly Favored Foundation. HFF is a 501(c)(3) Certified Charity whose mission is to help care for Struggling Widowed Mothers, Special Need Children, Orphans and Destitute children who lack basic necessity and living essentials in Ghana.

 

The purpose of this fundraising campaign is to feed neglected Differently -abled  children and  orphans and to provide additional support to kids living with HIV/AIDS  in Ghana, West Africa.

 

In some part of Ghana, it is a misconception that disabled kids are deemed to be a curse, disgrace and a punishment from the “gods”. They are therefore neglected and abused. Some are thrown into rivers to die; some are even thrown out and left to fend for themselves.

 

Highly Favored foundation will help relocate some of these children to various orphanage centers and provide monthly support in the form of food, provide care by hiring Special Needs Caregivers who will take care of these children daily.

 

We will also offer cash donations to struggling widowed mothers and set them up with small businesses which will enable them to fend for themselves and their kids.

 

In order to meet our fundraising goal, it will truly take a village. Please support this incredible cause. Any amount you can contribute will make a difference.

 

$20.00US (121 Ghana cedis)- will provide drinking water for 81 orphans for a week

 

$50.00US (303 Ghana cedis) will provide 2 bags of rice for 81 orphans for 2 weeks

 

$100.00 US (606 Ghana cedis) will provide breakfast for 81 orphans for the entire month

 

$250.00US (1515 Ghana cedis) will provide diapers, breakfast, and 5 paid care providers a month for 5 special needs children

 

$500.00 US (3030 Ghana cedis) will provide rent for 2 years for a struggling widow and her children

Our aim as an organization is to touch lives daily. The scripture James 1:27 really resonates with us. "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." (James 1:27)

 

In other words, our faith is only valid to the degree we help the poor and the needy in society. We are blessed, when we have become a blessing to a person in need! Highly Favored is committed to spreading its wings of generosity across all of Ghana and beyond.
