Feed orphans and families during Ramadan
There are 8 orphanages, 29 widows, 6 disabled individuals, and 224 families who are currently experiencing Ramadan with little to no food to break their fast every day. Help us provide them with food packages to ensure they can eat for at least one month.
The Halima Eileen Foundation is working together with Helping Hands Pwani to distribute food packages in Mombasa, Kenya to those who need it most. One package contains:
Maize flour (4kg)
Wheat flour (4kg)
Sugar (2kg)
Rice (4kg)
Spaghetti (2 packs)
Oil (1 liter)
Salt (0.5kg)
Beans (2kg)
Pojo (2kg)
Packages will be distributed to the following villages:
Kizimbani, Milalani goyo, Meka, Vidzyani, Tiribe, Mwazaro, Makongeni, Mashambini, Mluto, Tsunguni, Kitengwani, Kilifi, Kisauni, Shanzu, Mwiryarya, and Uawaja wa ndege.
“This year donations are coming in very slowly, forcing us to have to choose who is more disadvantaged over the already needy. Help the forgotten people who are breaking their fast with water, tea, or ugali only.”
“Righteousness in the sight of God… dwells in one who, despite his love for it, gives of his wealth in charity to close relatives and orphans and to the needy and the wayfarer, and beggars and for the emancipation of slaves.” (Surat Al-Baqarah, 2:177).
