Feed Our Medics - Prince of Wales Hospital
Donation protected
We know that our medics at Prince Of Wales Hospital are doing it tough with long hours helping patients fight the coronavirus.
We are raising money to help feed our health care workers and at the same time support our local cafés and restaurants who are also seeing hard times.
Many nurses are having a hard time getting a healthy meal to last their shift because getting to the shops, ordering far in advance, supermarkets running low and the café sometimes being closed mean they can't easily access a good nutritious meal. We are asking for local support to raise funds from our local community so that we can order and deliver nutritious meals to help them through their shift and give a morale boost. Who doesn't love a care package, when you've been working on the front line of an unprecedented pandemic?
We have spoken with local cafes who have advised for $10 a medic we could provide them with a healthy, filling meal for their lunch or dinner.
Let’s join together to help our health care professionals stay fed with 100% covid free food so they can relax and continue to help our community fight this virus.

GOALS
We are working with 2 local cafés to provide 50 meals on Friday 24th April and another 50 on Thursday 30th April to our hard working frontline medics. Let's try to feed 100 medics!!
If you are a café, restaurant or catering company who has completed their training for covid-free food preparation, please apply to be a provider via our Facebook page @Feed Our Medics. We would love to support your business, while you support our frontline medics during this pandemic.
HOW BIG IS THIS PROGRAM?
We have received front page news coverage in some of the other areas where we've started this program. We are an incorporate association and have applied for charity status from conception since 26th March, so we are hoping to be able to make your donation a tax deductible one. Either way, wouldn't it be nice to buy a $10 meal for a few nurses who are putting themselves and their families at risk to keep our community safe?
Here are the other campaigns, all driven by locals, supporting local businesses and local healthcare workers:
