Feed Students through Somerville Restaurants

I posted a message last night and saw the real need for people to donate to help other families that would be having a hard time feeding their children during the school/work closures.
It was very touching to see the outpouring of people offering to donate in some way.

Be it time, food or financially. 

I also know that restaurants depend on the business to stay afloat.

This way we can connect all three- food from restaurants to children in need over the next few weeks of the coronavirus shut down. 

I decided to set this up through GoFundMe and not just on Daddy Jones's Page so that we can also help our neighboring businesses and not just my business, Daddy Jones Bar.

We have been contacted by multiple School Counselors knowing families in need and by families directly and we are preparing meals and dropping them off to the families on their door steps.  We are dropping off bags with produce, pasta, rice, pita and peanut butter valued at $50 per request.

These donations cover the labor,  product and containers for dinner donated to families in need. 

Additional funds are to buy groceries from Magoun Square businesses and gift certificates from our neighboring restaurants and giving them out to school coordinated requests.
