Feed the Rescue Horses 2020-2023
Donation protected
These beautiful horses have been saved from slaughter...they are save and enjoying life now on Vancouver Island BC, living in a herd environment, yet in a controlled and safe enviroment where they are barned in the evening where we know they are tucked in safely.
These beautiful being are the lucky ones.....given a second chance at life. One where they are loved again. Protected from abuse, abandonment, starvation...our oldest is 38 yrs...Miss Daisy she was saved for a mere $60 from the meat man...spared the horrific trip to the processing plant. Our youngest in a year old, baby River born to his momma Willow who was saved from slaughter in Oct 2018 in foal, River will never know what it is like to be abandoned or abused...he will know only love and a gentle kind hand. He will always have a full belly like his other 23 herd mates
Slaughter has no preference, young, old, injured, pregnant, babies, studs they all get slaughtered the same....no rules no guidelines, just a cold cement floor.
We are trying desperately to raise the last of our hay fund for the 2020-2021 year...trying to hold on threw this horrible pandemic, we have met so many challenges this year and managed to make it threw....however we are now facing the challenges so many others are now facing...lack of funds to meet the expenses. We are now feeling the effects especially since i broke my back and am also trying to recover for a dangerous shattering break. Many beautiful people people have stepped up to help with the daily chores and feeding, not missing a beat they have done a fabulous job....now to meet the other end our hay bill.
Please in the spirit of love, and giving if you can help in some small way with a donation towards feeding the horses it would be so gratefully appreciated.
God bless and stay safe
