Feed the Fighters

A story happening across America
Kim's last patient of the day tested positive for COVID-19. Today, No break or lunch during her 13-hour shift. As a nurse, her face is scarring from wearing the protective mask all day. She gets a text from a coworker, one of her colleagues died today of the virus. Kim thinks, "He looks like my husband.  If I get sick, will that happen to John too?" She drives home, fighting back the tears. After getting the kids ready for bed, she opens the fridge her first real meal of the day... cold leftovers.

The idea
There's so much we are balancing right now - social distancing rules, school closures, job uncertainty, and even toilet paper. While we stay at home, there are thousands of brave women and men working in our hospitals. As frontline healthcare heroes, they are prioritizing our health and safety over their own. How can we make Kim's story a bit better and show our gratitude?

Well, what better way to show our appreciation than feeding someone a quality meal? And for an added bonus, that meal could be provided by  a local restaurant. After all, local businesses  are suffering economically from this pandemic and need more sales.

So.... we can show our gratitude to healthcare workers and help our local restaurant at the same time!

Eureka.

The goal: Raise money that provides meals for nurses and supports local restaurants.

The plan: Your donation will be 100% to purchasing and distributing quality meals to nurses and other frontline healthcare professionals. We will focus on hospitals in your local areas, around the country. By leveraging technology, local restaurants will be identified for selection and distribution of meals in close coordination with hospital staff. This program will be managed and executed by Ajay Kshatriya, who has a 20yr track record in biotechnology as a CEO/founder, venture capitalist, and Fortune 100 manager.

The ask:  At a $50-100 level, you can buy a whole team of healthcare heroes a meal. At a $10 level, you can buy a meal for one hero and brighten her day. And most importantly, your gratitude and appreciation counts so we will pass along your comments to the recipients.
