Raise money to buy a violin

Heya, my name is Masha and I finally found a perfect instrument for myself!

I'm a Ukrainian violinist that relocated to Glasgow in 2022 couple of months later after a russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. A month later, I enrolled in Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and now I'm still studying in 3rd year of my Joint Principal Study degree (classical and jazz violin).

This journey has truly been life changing, and during my studies in Glasgow, I've found my passion in a lot of different things, like jazz, tango, klezmer, collaborations with theatre as an improviser and composer, and a promotion of underperformed Ukrainian and Eastern European classical music. However, I have outgrown my own violin a long time ago and getting a better instrument is crucial for my future career.

I have been looking for a suitable instrument for two years out of three I've been studying here, and money was usually the biggest obstacle between me and getting a new violin.

In my search I stumbled across a beautiful Linus Andersson's violin that I absolutely love playing; it has a rich, warm and really projecting sound, the resonance of the instrument fills the room really easily and it is a beautiful fit for all the genres I'm performing and working in. Its cost is £8000.

Now I was lucky to receive some UK based funds' support and my own savings, which leaves me at £6000, however, I need some help with remaining £2000 to finally buy the violin and would really appreciate any help towards this goal.
