Felicia’s Knee Surgery

Hello! My name is Brooke and I work with Felicia at the World Cup Cafe, part of Mission Waco. I am the manager and Felicia is my right-hand lady, managing the kitchen. The job requires a lot of standing and moving around, especially when we are short-staffed as we have been, and this past year Felicia started struggling with being on her knee. It kept swelling up and making it very difficult for her to do her job well. She started needing more time off and lots of breaks to sit down so she finally got in with her doctor and found out she has a torn meniscus and bad bruising on her bone. Her doctors determined she is going to have to have surgery which will put her out of work for at least 4 weeks. Felicia is one of the hardest workers I've had the pleasure of working with and even through all of the pain she has been going through, she still gives every day her very best! I am aiming to raise money for Felicia to help offset the costs of surgery as well as the time she will have to be out of work. Her surgery will be scheduled soon and I would love to be able to have funds for her to start coming in as soon as possible so she can take the time off she needs for surgery and recovery without stressing about how she is going to keep up with bills and daily life.
