Felicia Rose Horton Award

The Rose Award is named after Felicia Rose Horton. Felicia was a faithful member of Christ Our Savior Parish. She was the Associate Director of Marketing for the Office of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Chicago at the time of her untimely passing in March of 2021.
She attended Chicago Catholic grade schools. Ms. Horton worked with schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago to develop effective marketing strategies to increase enrollment and communicate the advantages of Catholic School education.
She especially enjoyed working with predominantly African American Catholic school communities many in high poverty neighborhoods. She was an insightful, passionate and creative leader promoting marketing and communications best practices.
Throughout her academic and professional career, she demonstrated promise, leadership and service.
The Rose Award was established by family, friends and work colleagues of Felicia Rose Horton seeking to honor her memory and support African-American 8th grade girls in Catholic Grade Schools who demonstrate promise, leadership and service with their high school expenses.
