Felicia Royce Medical Expenses

My chosen sister, Felicia Royce, is fighting a health and recovery journey. On Halloween, she was admitted to the emergency room with extreme pain and bloating in her abdomen. After emergency exploratory surgery, they discovered that she had fissions throughout her uterus, intestines, diaphragm, and colon that had fused her intestines to her abdominal wall. It was life threatening. She was scheduled to run a race the next day, so thankfully she listened to her body. If she would have run that race, or even waited, it could have ended her life.

Felicia is an Angel on this earth, and God knew that her light could not be dimmed. It’s been a long journey, and will continue to be a long recovery process. She just completed her very extensive surgery, where they removed her uterus, several fissions, reconstructed her colon, took out a large section of her intestines, part of her diaphragm, and appendix. The initial cause of this was extreme endometriosis. One of her surgeons was the premier expert in these cases, but sadly was out of network.

Out of pocket costs for surgery, missed work, copays, and extended hospital stay are around $20k. I am hoping to raise money, to at least help her cover her copay and out of network costs.

I appreciate you for helping my best friend and chosen sister in this life. I can’t wait for next year, when she is expected to be completely recovered. This has been extremely stressful and taxing to both her and her family. Chad, her hubby, and her kiddos, Mackenzie, Leighton, and Dylan have been through so much, and I would love to gather the masses to at least lessen their financial load. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. To know Felicia, or “Felili,” as I call her, is to love her. I appreciate you helping my friend and supporting her in her health journey.
