Felix Zendejas Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
My father in law Felix Zendejas was a really good man. He had a passion for auto glass and at one time owned his own business in El Monte, Ca. He taught so many family members the business including his only son. In 2010 felix was involved in a car accident that left him bruised and sore for a few months. That's the beginning of his many health problems to come. He also suffered from an awful disease Diabetes. He struggled to keep his sugars under control trying different medications and diets.  In 2011 he felt a small bump on the bottom of his right foot. That bump continued to get bigger and bigger in length and soon later became painful. He like alot of men don't like going to the doctors. So he waited till he couldn't handle the pain and finally got checked out. He had an infection and the bottom of that foot had gangrene which needed to be removed by amputation of that foot. And that's what was done. As the years passed the infection just kept coming and going so more and more was being amputated. It even spread to his other leg and was also being treated by amputations. This was going on for years. Because of all the antibiotics and combined with his day to day diabetic medications it soon took a toll on his kidneys and just last year he started receiving dialysis three times a week. He was getting tired and no longer was up to do very much. It was hard on him but also hard on his family he distanced himself from his family his main support. His wife Martha, his three daughters and his only son loved him very much and supported in every way they could. He still felt as if he was a burden on his family. On July 20th 2018 he was home with his wife and he was having difficulty breathing and was feeling very weak. 911 was called and transported him to the local hospital for observation. Later they decided to keep him for further testing. The next day they told him his infection was really bad on his right leg and was in need of yet another amputation. The doctor had started him on three different antibiotics and an IV. He was feeling good and was in stable condition. His family one by one went to the hospital to visit and try and convince him to go thru with the procedure that was needed but he just didnt want to be cut on anymore. This procedure was needed the infection had already infected his blood and caused him to have pneumonia. He just did not want anymore procedures done he was tired. The next day Sunday morning he told the nurse and doctors he wanted to go home. He said he was tired of being in the hospital. He signed a form stating he was leaving and denying medical treatment. He went home spent the day with his daughters and wife. He was happy to be home sleeping in his own bed. Monday morning July 23,2018. His wife went to check on him like she always would but he was unresponsive and no longer had a pulse.  She called 911. He had gained his wings and is no longer suffering. Yes we are all hurting and mourning but he is truly in a better place. We will always love him and have a very special place in our hearts for him.  We are asking our family and friends to come together with us and help us with prayers and if you can donations for his Funeral costs. Thank you so much.  God bless.
