Lá maith do chách.

Good day to all.

My name is Jonathan William Fay, I am an artist filmmaker living with ADSD and Autism and I come from a historical family background with past family members responsible for creating Ireland’s first national arts gild in 1902.

I have been creating a list of free historical film projects around Ireland and on the mainland of Europe together with others who are living with disabilities that I have payed for from my own disability benefits with family and friends kindly supporting me to cover some of the costs to create the works with travel and other expenses that was badly needed to be covered with no support being given to me by the Irish arts council of Ireland.

Because there is no real support for people with disabilities in Ireland within the professional media industry I have created two free film projects together with others in the hope that people will support us to create more projects with me founding a media company and needing your support to pay for future inclusive film projects under the flag of my newly formed company, Fellow Irish Artists, Comhealaíontóirí Éireannacha media productions limited.

There is no support or real opportunities being given to creators in Ireland living with disabilities and I have the wish to create a list of independent film features together with others with disabilities in Ireland with something needing to give with badly needing your support to create a new kind of national Irish arts gild for the future with creating opportunities and a wish to have a social space in Dublin to resolve a large social issue that is being ignored by the government and social boards that are responsible with it being clear that an independent body would need to be created to take this kind of work on and to create work opportunities where the Irish arts is not willing to go.

I have set what looks to be a very low target of €100 with knowing that people will give as much as possible to support me and this project with the Irish arts not willing to give there support with them getting a large chunk of the Irish taxpayers budget each year to use towards what they wish next to what is really needed with me being grateful to what is possible to be raised to support me and others who wish to create and not be put into boxes with needing to create some opportunities and awareness as this has become unbalanced and is pushing many into real conditions of social disadvantage with me working to creating positive social change with putting out free works with the trust that people will donate what they can.

I hope that people will support this mission to bring around social change and to create a new home for Irish artists with disabilities who wish to create professional film projects together.
