- Hello! Our family has experienced and seen first hand the dire need for families to step up and say yes to adoption. The global orphan crisis is devastating. After having 4 biological children of our own, the Lord called us to adoption in 2014. We brought Mika Ella home from the Philippines in 2016 and Isabelle home from China in 2018. Our family is committed to bringing home as many orphans as the Lord sees fit for our family and for His purpose. For that reason, in May of 2020, we pursued the adoption of a precious 3 year old little girl, in China, whom we are naming Lilly Grace. Due to the Covid pandemic, China has ceased adoptions for almost 3 years. Our family and 400 other families are still waiting to complete our adoptions and bring our children home. Sadly, we have no clue as to when this will happen. It is heartbreaking. The delay with this current adoption means that it also delays us in bringing future children home. Our family has been patient in waiting on the Lord for the past two and a half years. Now, we feel the Lord saying to move.
That brings us to today. Our current adoption process of Lilly Grace is fully funded. Once China resumes adoptions, we will bring her home. Nothing has changed with our decision to adopt Lilly Grace. In our waiting, our family has also chosen to pursue the adoption of a child in Bulgaria as well. That's right. Two adoptions going at one time! Our family anxiously anticipates giving another child a home of their own. We must go where the Lord leads. We trust His guidance and His provision throughout this journey.
Adoption matters for eternity and the life-changing impact it has on that child is immeasurable. This journey, here on earth, is a costly financial journey. Stan has been a deputy sheriff for over 28 years, while Ashley is a stay at home, home-schooling mother. Our family can absolutely provide financially, emotionally, physically for another child. However, much like most adoptive families, we do not have $35,000 sitting in our savings account to fund the adoption process. That is where we are trusting the Lord to use generous people like you, to play a part in giving an orphan a FOREVER FAMILY!
