Female Pep Guardiola Meet Real Pep Guardiola

Hello Everyone,

My name is Maddy, although I have nicknamed myself Female Pep Guardiola for some years. At first, the comparison I found between Pep and me was purely our ability to connect with our players and empower them to be the best they can be on and off the pitch. I found that the nickname was adopted by inspiration and a bit of humor. However, a harmless nickname quickly brought on unforeseen pressures (as if I don't put pressure on myself enough). Many mocked me for the comparison and were highly outspoken about their opinions of me (especially coaching boys/men).

But as time passed, I began to embrace everything that comes with the nickname because as I further down my career path, Pep and I are starting to have more and more similarities. How exciting is it to make such correlations between yourself and your idol? Although I am still far from where I dream of being, I am still proud of how resilient I have been to be where I am today.

I would love to turn my dream into a reality now that I have completed my Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. I aspire to travel to Manchester and watch Pep coach firsthand.

(This would also be my first time out of the country!)
