Jaxson’s care and recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amanda, On April 30th, 2024, an unspeakable tragedy struck when Jaxson was involved in a devastating pedestrian/motor vehicle accident just moments after exiting his bus after school. As Jaxson was crossing the street, he was struck by an oncoming vehicle that sent his small body nearly 100 feet across the pavement. Young Jaxson has since been airlifted to BC Children's Hospital where a specialized pediatric trauma team is working hard to treat and monitor his extensive injuries. He has sustained multiple broken bones including his clavicle, rib, and a severe femur fracture. He has a small brain bleed, laceration on his liver,a partially collapsed lung, and many scrapes ,cut’s, and bruises.
He is in serious but stable condition and waiting anxiously to be taken into surgery.
Jaxson's family members have gathered at his bedside, overwhelmed with grief, and appreciate the outpouring of care and concern from family, friends, and the community but have asked for privacy during this difficult time until things have become more stable. Updates will be posted on the GoFundMe as they become available.
The funds raised through GoFundMe will provide essential support to the family during this challenging time, covering their accommodations, meals, and lost income as they focus on Jaxson care and recovery.
Every single contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference to alleviate the burdens they are facing and provide them with the resources they need during this difficult time. These donations are not just financial assistance, but also a testament to the compassion and kindness of the community.
The Schwing and Webber families are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support and generosity and wish to convey their sincere gratitude to everyone who has stepped up to support them during this time of need. Please keep Jax and his family in your prayers.
