Rebuilding the Walls of Odom Memorial COGIC
On Wednesday April 8, 2021 we were awakened to a call that the church was on fire and to turn on the news. Devastating visual.
Bishop Designate W.H. and Lady McDonald have pastored Odom Memorial Church of God in Christ for over 36 years. When they first started, the building required renovations. It was a historical building, built in 1933 known as the Uptown Theatre, in the East Denver community and they started a campaign to “Rebuild the Walls”. A beautiful edifice was the final result.
This devastating electrical fire caused extensive damage to the upper and lower levels of the building. There is water damage throughout, but praise be to God that no one was injured and the neighbors were safe.
The Odom Memorial family is once again faced with rebuilding the walls and God gets the glory through it all.
As a result to community request we are thankful that this is a resource we can turn to as our community wants to reach out and help. We appreciate each of you and seek your prayers! We accept what God allows.
