As we celebrate the 5-year anniversary of owning our property we have finally come to the end of the legal issues pertaining it being a mobile park. We are now officially Berklee Farm DBA Feral cats of East Windsor Inc.

5 years ago we bought this as a foreclosed trailer park with occupants living here. We became a licensed mobile park as an investment for our rescue. Our hope is it being a sanctuary had faded. Nobody wanted to cooperate or was capable of cooperating so after a year we closed the park. Now at the end of all legal issues with closing the park we are moving forward by purchasing the last building on our property from the occupants.

Chrissy and I have $22,000 and we need to raise another $15,000 in the next month. Our shelter now will become the office for the rescue and the new building will be our new animal shelter facility licensed with the state of Connecticut. We still have some issues to work through with the town and state to make sure everything is up to the level of a public facility. With all the concerns of the town and state mandates for our shelter, we still have plenty of work to do.

More information about Feral Cats Of East Windsor Inc: Our mission is to control the feral cat population through the trap neuter and return program (TNR) and educate the public with the process of managing the feral population or community cats in their neighborhoods.
