Fergus's Final Medical Costs

Donation protected
***Update: in consultation with the veterinarian at his second visit to vet emerg, I made the very hard decision not to keep Fergus alive any longer only to suffer. I'm going to keep this open to hopefully help with the emerg visit and aftercare costs***

Hello, my name is Kieran and this fundraiser is for my cat Fergus's emergency and regular vet bills. Last night I had to rush Fergus to the emergency vet when his breathing became laboured, unable to breathe properly, and was acting lethargic and refusing food (even treats).

Fergus has asthma, spondylosis, and an opacity showing on X-rays that may be a growth (the vet is looking into it). Last year, Fergus' vet bills exceeded $2300 and last night his emergency vet bill was $948.87.

At a minimum, Fergus will need to return to his regular vet several times over the next few weeks to be checked out (anywhere from $95 to $300 depending), get more X-rays ($500+ each time), blood labs (various, in the hundreds depending on what labs they run).

He also needs regular inhalers, an injection for his spondylosis ($107 per month; think feline arthritis), and currently, antibiotics.

None of this accounts for food, cat litter, transportation to the emergency vet, and any unstated costs.

Bottom line, this is getting expensive very quickly and I simply do not have the funds. Please donate if you can, and share either way. By sharing or donating, you can help me give Fergus lifesaving care, while maintaining the best quality of life possible for him.

Thank you.
