We hope that you are keeping well and safe in these unprecedented times . It has been a difficult time for many and indeed as a club we face challenges of our own. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 restrictions brought our 2019/2020 season to a sudden and premature end. In addition, 2020 should have been an exciting year for the club as it celebrates its 50th birthday.
The club currently fields 13 teams consisting of boys, girls and adults. The club is far reaching with members not just from the town but the surrounding areas branching out to West Waterford and Tipperary. The club has produced two Irish Internationals in Mike Ross and Leah Lyons and a host of players moving up to play senior rugby in the AIL leagues.
Even though it is the off-season, we still incur significant expenses for maintenance of the pitches. We also continue to pay utilities and insurance etc..
With the postponement of the Club lotto and the cancellation of our annual TagFest we are appealing to members and friends to donate to the club to help support our cash-flow.
Please donate what you can, and please pass this message on to anyone who is or has been involved with Fermoy RFC past and present.
Thank you for your support in these difficult times.
