Festival de Bomba y Plena en Tampa

We are asking for help as the pandemic and economic situation has taken a toll on individuals and entities who have been part of supporting our festival. This year we have not been able to acquire sponsorship support, and we are getting closer to the day of the event. The event will take place on Sunday, November 20th, 2022.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity dedicated to helping our communities. All proceeds generated are donated. In previous years the festival provided donations to local organizations that assist families in times of tragedy and emergency.

The Festival de Bomba y Plena en Tampa, Inc., believes that art is essential to the life of a community and nourishes human development.

Our mission is as follows:

To conserve, promote, and divulge our culture.

To promote communication, cooperation, and support of the culture in our community.

To serve as a liaison between the cultural arts and the communities.

To provide educational services for and about the arts and our culture.

“Festival de Bomba and Plena en Tampa, Inc.” is a FREE community event that celebrates the richness of Puerto Rico’s culture. The organizers (my wife and I) have been residents of the Tampa Bay area for the past 31 years and are very proud to be part of such a wonderful place to live. The reaction of those who attend each year has been very positive as the festival is a family-oriented event. A communal public enjoys the festival's richness, a proliferation of autochthonous Puerto Rican music and culture.

Your contributions will help us greatly achieve the goal and be able to present this fantastic community event where all family members can share quality time in a secure atmosphere.
