1,000 Face Shields to Fight Coronavirus
Donation protected
Due to the spread of the Corona-Virus, Michigan Health Care Providers are in desperate need of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). One piece of PPE that Health Care Providers are in need of are face shields.
With your help, we can aid our health care professionals who are working tirelessly to keep us healthy.
This GoFundMe is set up to cover the costs to produce 1,000 face shields to be donated at no cost to Michigan Health Care Providers in need.
As a graduate student from Central Michigan University I too want to do my part. While at Central I created my own product through prototyping on a 3D printer. This experience has given me the skills needed to manufacture these face shields.
The face shield that will be printed for donation is a version approved by UofM medical team in the "Operation Face Shield Ann Arbor" Facebook Group . Pictured is the face shield fully assembled
A couple things to note:
-With how contagious the corona virus is and the fact we are at the beginning stages of the spread, it is important for anyone that can to start producing the relevant PPE to do so now.
-If you or anyone you know is familiar with 3D printing or own a 3D printer please put them in contact with me so we can collaborate.
-If you or anyone you know needs face shields NOW please follow this link to the "Operation Face Shield" Facebook Groups request page. : Request Link
If you have any questions or concerns, or want to contact me, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Thank you! Have a great day!
