Clean Water in Nicaragua
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kim and I’m from Edmonton, AB, Canada! I'll be volunteering Dec 1-8 in Nicaragua to help the non-profit organization, The Latitude Project, with their clean water initiative. There are contaminated water issues in the rural communities surrounding San Juan del Sur, and they’ve become worse after Hurricane Nate. These devastated communities need our help! Uncovered wells and contaminated water pose health and safety risks to everyone, including children that collect water from these wells.
I’d like to express that I do not benefit from any donations personally. I’m responsible for getting myself to Nicaragua, and for my associated travel expenses. Donations go directly towards this project so that we, as volunteers, can make it happen! Funds raised help cover the costs of the supplies we need such as water filters, pumps and well covers. I’m trying to fundraise as much as I can, to help as many communities as possible during my 8 day volunteer project. Any donation is greatly appreciated :) Thanks for your time in reading this!
