THE TEAM:
For over three years, classically trained, soul/hip-hop singer Adrienne Mack-Davis (AMD) and philanthropist, hype-woman/host feleciacruz (FC) have been touring the world and living a life consisting of shows (live performances), service (volunteerism) and self-development. These co-creators of Fighting For Futures (FFF) and New Fame, LLC (NF) have performed over 300 shows in five countries alongside the implementation of creative workshops to empower children--raising awareness about human trafficking worldwide. They have recently returned home from Nepal after responding to the April earthquake and surviving the earthquake in May. View The “Rumble" photo collection.
In January 2016, New Fame team member, teacher and touring artist Ohene Cornelius (OC) will be joining AMD and FC in Vietnam along with filmmaker and world traveller Doran Graham (DG).
Matt Sonzala from Pushermania (PM) supporter of all things positive and inspiring, is project manager for The Fighting For Futures World Tour Against Human Trafficking and will be assisting from USA headquarters in logistics and promotion of FFF work and events occurring internationally.
THE ENDEAVOR:
This year AMD and FC will set out on their boldest FFF endeavor yet--a world tour. From December 1, 2015 to March 1, 2016, this highly motivated duo will document and share stories via social media from four countries in four months. They will collaborate with local organizations and artists to spread the word about human trafficking and empower everyone they meet through various forms of art and service.
FFF currently has three on-going relationships with organizations and families in Asia. They will revisit and volunteer with Tiny Toones in Phnom Penh and Smile Group in Saigon and, for a third time, they will head back to Nepal and continue much needed earthquake cleanup in surrounding villages while helping Bikka and Solani with any school assistance/supplies.
Through personal interactions, live music, manual labor, creative workshops and love, these inspirational women have infused hope into desperate areas of the world and have created lasting change worldwide--continuing to do so with projects such as these.
THE GOAL:
Similar to past endeavors, FFF will set out internationally to empower through creativity, spread awareness about the dangers of human trafficking to families in high-risk areas and seek out opportunities to be of service in each new city where there is need. This year the FFF team will cover new territory as well as return to previously targeted areas to follow up on any outstanding/on-going projects.
Fighting For Futures believes that through compassionate conversation, music, photography and basic self-defense classes, they can help reduce the amount of people trafficked each year. When a person, specifically a child, is given knowledge about an issue and has more self-awareness/confidence through an arts program, they are then capable of making more informed and positive choices when or if they are confronted by a harmful source such as an abuser or trafficker.
THE FUNDING:
Only $10,656 left to fully fund The Fighting For Futures World Tour Against Human Trafficking. (Gofundme takes 7.9% plus 30 cents per donation)
Costs are calculated for Adrienne Mack-Davis, Cathleen Angelo (feleciacruz), Ohene Cornelius & Doran Graham.
