On August 13, 2023 the unthinkable happened. My stepson Joshua aka Stoney (his dad's old nickname that he stole for himself because he absolutely idolized him) was walking along

New Circle Road in Lexington Kentucky when he was struck and killed by a passing motorist who fled the scene and left him to die alone, on the side of the highway. He was only 27 years old. He wasn't married nor did he have any children yet. The chance for him to experience all of that was stripped away from him in an instant. He does have a little brother and a 7 year old little sister who absolutely thought the world of him. We all did. Although he did have life insurance for pretty much his entire life, the policy ran out 2 years ago when he turned 25. We had intended to get a new policy, but had continued to put it off because it's one of those things that you just don't think you'll need, especially when someone is this young. So with no insurance, no savings to speak of, and no way of paying for a burial, we are left with no choice but to ask you to help. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
