❤️ Kathy's Road To Remission ❤️

My siblings and I are hoping to raise money to help with our moms growing medical and living expenses. She has been unable to work for the past month and we are not sure if she will be able to return.

About a month ago our mom went to the doctor for what she thought was food poisoning. She ended up in the ER 10 days later with excruciating abdominal pain. The ER doctors ordered blood work and a CT scan to see if they could find out what was going on.

It was discovered that she had multiple masses in her pelvic area as well as on her adrenal glands. She also had severe swelling to the lymph nodes in her abdomen. The ER doctors told her they thought it was cancer but could not confirm. This was a huge shock to everyone and basically sent us all into a panic. Upon discharge her PCP referred her to multiple specialists to confirm what the ER had discovered.

After having a consult with the oncologist, he told her he suspected it was lymphoma but would need a biopsy to be absolutely sure. The gynecologist also wanted a biopsy to determine if the masses in her pelvic area are also cancerous.

Mom had a lymph node biopsy on January 29th and it was confirmed that she does infact have cancer. She was diagnosed with B-cell Lymphoma. This diagnosis has felt like a punch in the gut to us all, especially my mom. We have faith that her treatments will get her to a point of remission.

We don't know where this journey is going to lead her, but what we do know is that she a fighter and she WILL overcome this.

We are grateful for any help we receive. This will help mom cover her health insurance payments, copays for her doctor visits, medications, future travel expenses for treatments/procedures and daily living expenses.
