Middleburgh's Olde Corner Store

Hello Middleburghers, past and present:
Thoughts of starting up a deli/grocery/bulk food store in Middleburgh came during a Schoharie Fresh Internet Farmer’s Market meeting. During the meeting the discussion turned to the need for more grocery stores in Schoharie County. The only two grocery stores in the county are located within one mile of each other in Cobleskill. The residents of Schoharie County are asking for more places to buy quality food at good prices in convenient locations.
I have been serving the residents of Gallupville in the Town of Wright for 13 years. My present location offers bulk foods, deli meats and cheeses, fresh baked goods, great breakfast sandwiches and wicked good subs.
Middleburgh lost the Grand Union during Hurricane Irene, leaving a void that has not yet been filled. Although I struggle with leaving my little hamlet of Gallupville, I desire to help the residents in the Town of Middleburgh and those nearby who have greater challenges when it comes to purchasing quality food.
And now this dream is coming true. For over two years I have been working towards moving my small deli & grocery to Middleburgh. The set backs over the last two years have been many, but we are very close.
The Olde Corner Store LLC will be opening its doors at 308 Main Street very soon. We have opened this GoFundMe page to help us purchase coolers for the specific products we desire to carry.
My vision for the Middleburgh location involves more than I offer now. I want to include a small produce section and fresh meat. With these additional departments, I need additional coolers. However, the move from Gallupville to Middleburgh has become more expensive than what we expected, which has left our equipment fund lacking. I would like to purchase an open display case ($4000) for produce as well as a larger deli case for the fresh meat ($7000).
I am asking for your help in making this happen. The prices l listed are new. I am very open to purchasing quality used items. Thank you for helping me reach my goal of serving the residents of Middleburgh and Schoharie.
