FHLL Theft & Security Fund

Fletcher Hills Little League has been an important part of the community since the 1950’s. The families and players who come through FHLL pride themselves on not only one of the best fields in San Diego, but also on a community driven to help children succeed not only in organized athletics, but also in life. Many generations of ballplayers have learned valuable life long lesson on these fields.

This month the league has had a string of vandalism and theft across all of its fields, but the most recent being the biggest and most devastating. This week someone forcefully entered into the Fletcher Hills Little League Majors field batting cages. A very expensive pitching machine was taken among other training and field items. Two weeks ago the minors field had something of a similar nature where over 12 dozen baseballs were taken, trash thrown everywhere and broken appliances left where the kids come in to practice. This year many players did not get the season they were all looking forward to due to covid-19, and along with that the league did not have the opportunities to bring in extra funds by way of snack bar or hit-thon fundraisers to cushion the general cost of running a league and certainly not for the type of financial loss it is experiencing now. I'm raising money for Fletcher Hills Little League, to not only try and replace the items taken, but to also install and update BOTH of our fields security. Not only do we have over 300 of our communities children on these fields every year and countless volunteer hours put in to make these fields safe and enjoyable, but both of these fields are located directly next to and on school grounds.
