EDIT: Updating the gofundme for new medical expenses. Thanks for the help so far, everyone!
Alesone MacCormack, a vibrant dog trainer with a smile infectious enough to wag even the tiniest tail, faces a fight. Not against some fierce canine, but against thyroid cancer. And she's not alone. We, her community, stand beside her, cheering her on and reaching out our hands to help her conquer this mountain.
Her Story:
Two years ago, a stroke threw Alesone's life off balance. New health struggles emerged, culminating in a 2023 diagnosis of early-stage thyroid cancer. Surgery became her first hurdle, but unfortunately, it wasn't the finish line. On January 22nd she started radiation therapy, a brave step on her path to recovery.
The Challenge:
While Alesone faces cancer with the same spirit she pours into training pups, her health forces her to step away from her beloved work. With her income gone, Alesone suddenly faces a new kind of hurdle: keeping a roof over her head. That's where we come in.
Help Alesone Heal:
Your support can make a world of difference. By contributing today, you can help Alesone:
- Secure her home: Cover three months of rent, allowing her to focus on healing without the weight of eviction.
- Stay connected: Bridge the gap until disability takes effect (she has already applied for disability), covering essential bills like electricity and internet access.
- Gain independence: Invest in a lightweight, foldable electric wheelchair, granting Alesone mobility and freedom beyond her doorstep.
- Every bit counts: Whether it's a small donation or a big hug, let's show Alesone the strength of our community. Together, we can help her overcome this challenge and walk into a brighter future, tail held high.
Don't let Alesone fight this battle alone. Donate today and share her story. Let's prove that hope, like a well-trained pup, always finds its way home.
