Field Renovation at Kearse Park - Phase 1

We are seeking your support in a milestone undertaking for the club, as we look to invest in the renovation of the grass field at Kearse Park to bring it up to competitive footing.

Kearse Park has been the home of Community First Soccer for the past 8 years and we have loved that it has allowed us the space to keep our club local and affordable and to grow to the point that we have reached today. We have loved building relationships with hundreds of players over the years, teaching them to love the game and to play with respect, dedication, and passion, nurturing their dreams of playing soccer at higher and higher competitive levels. However we recognize that the current conditions of the playing surface at Kearse Park do not allow us to reach our goal of making CFS a premier training destination for local players to have access to the highest quality of soccer education.

For this vision to become reality, we have committed to renovating the fields at Kearse Park to make the park a source of pride for our club and the community.

What Are We Seeking To Do?

We are seeking to raise funds for the renovation of the grass field at Kearse Park. We will be working with FIELDSCAPING Landscaping Services to begin on PHASE 1 of our field renovation project anticipated to begin the week of August 22nd. The field renovation includes herbicide treatment to suppress weeds, field aeration, application of topsoil and fertilizer, and over-seeding of the field; with accompanying watering tank rental and sprinkler system.

This field renovation will allow for safer play and a higher quality of training, while keeping our training local and affordable for our families.

How Much Are We Seeking To Raise?

PHASE 1: will be carried out the August - November 2022, will cover work on approximately half the field, has a final cost of $24,450

PHASE 2: will be carried out between April – June 2023, will complete the second half of the field renovation, is expected to cost roughly the same amount as PHASE 1.

PHASE 3: will be an ongoing process to improve the field and facility, including: drainage, irrigation, maintenance, and repair of the field, as well as other projects such as fencing, training walls, protective netting, and other infrastructure to enhance the safety and utility of the field.

These may sound like big numbers, but to put this into perspective, renting turf fields will cost the club more than $40,000 each season with no guarantee of training days, times or location. Renovating our own field will allow CFS access to a high quality field year round at a fraction of the cost. Long term, this will give us the ability to invest in our own growth and to enhance the educational experience within the club.

Field Sponsor, $3,000 donation –

• Placement of your company logo and messaging on an all-weather banner to be displayed prominently at Kearse Park for a 1-year period.

• Placement of your company as a club sponsor on our club website and social media pages.

• Special Recognition by the club during end of season events, mention in a club press release posted to social media platforms and on our club website.

Online Sponsor, $1,500 donation –

• Placement of your company as a club sponsor on our club website and social media pages.

• Special Recognition by the club during end of season events, mention in a club press release posted to social media platforms and on our club website.
