FIFIMBA World Basketball Championships, Argentina
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Douaine Anderson, member of the GB Maxibasketball Over 40s (O40) team. Last year I was fortunate enough to be apart of the O40s team which finished 4th in the FIMBA European Championships in Malaga.
My family also came over to support as it coincided with my partners 40th birthday. Who would have guessed the impact it would have on my son and daughter to be inspired to play competitively. Both played at club level this year and were Semi-Finalist at U13 regional level this season. My son (11) and daughter (13) where both nominated to attende the Aspire Regional Development Camps West Midlands). This year my daughter was selected to the England U14s Selection and will represent England in the Tri-Nations Tournament in Dundee, 27 to 30 May 2023.
Family and basketball are my two top priorities in life. So to be able to have my family join me again during the biggest basketball event of my life would mean the WORLD to me.
Unfortunately these FIMBA international tournaments are self funded events, which means we have to pay for these excursions ourselves. Therefore I would appreciate any type of contribution to help me and my family experience what maybe be the last international duty I will experience in my life.
Special Note:
Unfortunately due to my children and my local, regional and national basketball commitments. Me and my partner have not been able to take our honeymoon, in which we got married last summer. The World Championship in Argentina lies during the week of our Anniversary. Therefore my wife would really appreciate your help in keeping us together during the this special time for us.
