Fight Against Lipodystrophy
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Stacey, my dear friend Natalie has
been battling a rare disease called Lipodystrophy for over two years. With each passing day their medical and travel bills are mounting. She has been a fighter through her journey and now I am hoping we can help her in this daily battle to make a horrific situation a little more tolerable. I can not begin to fathom all the ways this effects not just her life, but also her familes life. I thought it would be best to have Natalie tell her story which you will find below.

• I suffer from a rare genetic disease called lipodystrophy. It's a progressive loss of adipose tissue (fat). Fat loss sounds good right? It actually compromises all the major organs of my body.
• Two years ago I was also diagnosed with cardiomyopathy due to my rare disease. I am now in advanced heart failure and will require a heart transplant to survive.
• My team of specialists are located at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. My clinic visits and hospitilizations have swiftly increased and commuting is no longer a realistic or safe option. My parents have found an apartment near the hospital and will stay with me. My husband Ryan will commute on weekends.
•Me and my family are overwhelmed by the burdens of my lipodystrophy. Medical bills, missed work days, and transportation costs are mounting. We ask that friends and family please support our battle against lipodystrophy. If you are unable to donate please join the fight by sharing this post on social media. God bless!
