Fight against Triple Negative Breast Cancer at the age of 25
Donation protected
Hello everyone. My name is Maimuna, I am 25 years old and I have been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. My event forced my every day life to take a sharp turn in the most unexpected way possible, and I now am in a battle against a disease that is quite challenging to face.
I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, and sought the betterment of my future after I turned 18 years old. At this tender age, I ventured in beginning my life as an international student in Budapest, Hungary, where I have spent more than 6 years. My financial troubles never gave me a chance to have a peaceful sleep. I have always been stressed about the incredible burden I have put my loved ones whom dedicated their time and effort in ensuring that I could be successful and have a radiant future once I had established myself with my career goals. Things have never gone the easy way for me. I fought every day against depression, anxiety, tension and guilt throughout my life as an international student. I don’t come from a wealthy family, and my parents did everything they could to support me financially while I was abroad. The feeling of loneliness and hopelessness were always around the corner as I lived by myself in this foreign European country, and there were rare instances where I managed to visit my family for very short periods of times. Just as I thought that finishing my education would lift all these unpleasant feelings and landing a job, I was struck yet again by a news that no on ever wants to hear. ‘You have cancer’. I started perceiving unusual changes in my body and had a feeling that something was off about my health. After a thorough medical examination, I was given the conclusion that I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I was in utter shock, disbelief and in great terror. Desperation and sorrow prevailed me as I realized that I was the one having to now overcome this terrible disease. My mental state plummeted as the realization of this happening kept on growing. I could not believe what was happening to me, and frankly speaking, I still cannot. I am currently receiving treatment in India for this rare type of cancer, which has changed my life forever. I am currently receiving treatment in one of the medical facilities in Kolkata, India, but the cost associated with my treatment is endangering the finances of my family.
My father is retired who also went through brain stroke and my mother is a housewife. I never thought I would be in a position to seek help but here I am.
Your support means the world to us. If you can lend a hand no matter how small every donation, will help me with the previous gift of time and life as I can continue my treatment.
