Help Our Hero Bill Grimm Keep Fighting Cancer
Donation protected
Bill Grimm has spent his entire professional life protecting children and youth across the country. For 30 years, Bill has been a tireless champion for youth at the National Center for Youth Law (NCYL), improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of children across the nation and the systems that serve them. Prior to his work at NCYL, Bill worked at Maryland Legal Aid Bureau for 13 years, where he did similar work. He and his wife, Sherianne, raised six children together and he has been their champion and support as well.
Bill has always fought for others and cared deeply for his family, his colleagues, and friends. Now, he is in the fight of his life. On April 21, 2018, Bill was diagnosed with a Grade IV Glioblastoma brain tumor. He is currently working full time and undergoing a rigorous treatment of chemotherapy and radiation with the same passion, courage, and determination he has approached everything in his life. Since April, Bill has prepared for and recovered from brain surgery three times. Most recently, Bill has been on an intensive regimen of IV antibiotics to combat complications from his last surgery. Sherianne learned how to administer the IV medication so that Bill can spend as much time at home as possible.
Thankfully, Bill is recovering from the infection and surgery and is slowly building up his ability to walk more than short distances. Bill and Sherianne need our love and support more than ever.
This treatment requires much of Sherianne and Bill's time and attention. Your support for things they need to sustain their fight against cancer can make the difference. It is very important for Bill and Sherianne to have healing foods and a clean and peaceful environment so they can give this fight everything they've got. We are asking for donations that would be used for a weekly grocery and supplies delivery service through Instacart and for some support in maintaining the home. Donations will be used immediately upon receipt.
*Please note that all contributions to this campaign will go directly to Bill and his family and are not tax deductible.
