Fight Developer Sponsored Bills in Colorado!

We are the Colorado Community Coalition, a brand-new organization formed to fight the current stream of land developer-supported bills working through the Colorado Legislature. We are a state-wide coalition comprised of many local organizations sharing a deep concern regarding current housing policies driven by developers' interests and not the public. We originally came together fighting HB24-1107, which awards attorneys fees against any plaintiffs who unsuccessfully challenge land use decisions by the local government. This bill is clearly intended to scare potential plaintiffs from challenging ANY land use decision with the risk of crushing attorney fees if they lose. Notably, the provision does not apply to developers who challenge local decisions or the government itself. However, this legislative session has also produced numerous other bad developer-sponsored bills that we are monitoring and fighting.
