Memorial Fund for Aryana Isabelle Acuna Malave

With profound sorrow and broken hearts, we mourn the loss of Aryana Acuna Malave after a long and painful fight with GM1. Aryana passed in the early evening on Sunday, Feburary 4, and her absence is deeply grieved by her family and each person whose life she touched.

Ary was a bright and loving spark in this world and will be incredibly missed. She touched the lives of so many, and her eyes and smile lit up every room she was in. Aryana leaves behind her dear parents and beloved brother, who had a truly special bond with her. The Acuna Malave family dedicated their lives to helping Aryana fight GM1 as long as possible and Ary surpassed all expectations. Today, we humbly ask for you to help us surround this family with love and generosity in their time of deepest sadness.

Please help us bless the family with the funds needed to cover end of life care, family travel, and funeral services for Ary as her diagnosis took a toll on family finances over the years and support is needed while Danny takes bereavement leave.

Tiago was the sweetest and most loving brother to his older sister, and always thought of her when he got special treats like stickers.

Ary will forever live in Tiago's heart.

Ary got both strength and beauty from her loving mama.

Danny and Taty fought hard to give Ary as normal of a life as possible.

With many setbacks including a 3-week hospital stay earlier this year, Tayana and Danny worked through the unimaginable hardship, stress, and grief of Ary's illness with grace and strength.
