On Oct 6th my family received the worst news no family wants to get . Our 13 year old son was diagnosed with leukemia. A couple weeks ago he was getting random bruises and just not seeming himself . He was pale and less active. We thought it might just be anemia so we just tried vitamins . It was not working so we took him to the walk-in . At the walk in they noticed his spleen was enlarged and wanted him to be seen right away at the childrens hospital . Off we went . They did some and then gave us the bad news . We were devastated. They reassured us that my son is in great hands . And everything will be fine . He’s currently on lots of fluids and getting blood transfusions . He’s also going for more tests to see where the leukemia is . He’s will be getting a port put into his chest . He’s being very brave through all of this . We are asking if you can help us out a bit with getting some bills paid while his mom stays in the hospital with him and doesn’t work . His dad is still trying to work a bit but we definitely can not work as much as we were . This will also help pay for anything that might not be covered by our help insurance. My husband is currently looking after our other children and taking them to and from school, work and sports . And taking care of the house and pets also . It’s definitely hard to do all of that alone and try to work to pay the bills . I’d also like to add that this is the second bad news to happen within a short amount of time . Our son Gregory II passed away in June of this year . Heartbreaking to lose a son . Thank you for reading my story .
