"As I lay here reminiscing about all the treasured memories of our darling daughter, I think that that her light was so bright in life, it will continue to shine bright in death!
Why does it take a senseless tragedy for everyone to show their love?
Madison showed hers through her stormy clouds and through her sunshine and rainbows!
If everyone could take one thing away from this horrible event, remember that you might not get the chance to say I LOVE YOU. So, say it every time you get a chance!
Every time I left the house to go to a call, my family would say “Be safe, love you!” I took it for granted not realizing that to them it was something they needed to say in case I didn’t return. I wasn’t given that chance to say goodbye or I love you!! That was taken away from us.
Parents, if you have a son, raise them to love and respect women, to never lay their hands on them in an unkind manner, treat them as your equal!
If you have a daughter, raise them so they know self worth, so they know they are loved and deserve that love, that they are valuable and cherished! Each can be said for either child.
Madison’s death will not be in vain. There are lessons to be learned from this incredible loss. We always talk about living each day like it’s your last after you lose someone dear to you. But that thought fades away with the hustle of everyday life. Anyone who knew her, knows that she tried to portray that way of life. Even though her demons of mental illness and PTSD were rampant in her mind.
The whole dance like no one is watching saying, comes to mind. She didn’t care who was watching, she did her!
THIS IS MY DESIGN
She saw others flaws as a challenge to fix and was drawn to those people in need. She treated people better than she was treated back.
Madison had her flaws like we all do. But she helped to raise her amazing brother, she helped to create a loving caring mother and she is part of the reason why I will try to be a kind and charitable man.
Please if everyone could just take one thing away from knowing our precious daughter, JUST BE KIND TO EVERYONE!
Then maybe this world will be a better place."
