Fight Fraud For Kerry Shipley
Donation protected
On July 21st of this year, Kerry’s personal computer was compromised and thieves gained control of her computer and stole her life savings. Her accounts were emptied of over $95,000. All of this happened within minutes of her computer being compromised. She immediately contacted her bank and credit cards to notify them. They tried to recall the international wire but they have since ruled that they were not at fault and the money is not being returned. Wires are not FDIC insured, and her bank (Truist) is not accepting any responsibility.
For anyone who does not know Kerry, she is a 46 year-old single public school teacher for Fairfax County. She has served her students, their parents, and the Fairfax County community since she was a teenager. She has loved every minute of her service, and hoped to retire in 8 years. She has worked summers teaching summer school, taught extra classes during the school year and coached swimming for many seasons in an attempt to be able to afford her retirement in eight years.
Kerry does not have any money right now to pay her bills and living expenses. Her family and friends decided to start this GoFundMe to try and help Kerry recover some of what she lost. We also want to give her the option to get a consultation with an attorney, but that costs money. We want her to be able have the option to retire in eight years as planned. Any size donation to help Kerry recover some of her hard-earned money would be greatly appreciated. Our teachers serve our community and enrich the lives of our children. This teacher has given so much of herself to her community, and sadly she now financially has nothing to show for it. You can also help Kerry by sharing this post and re-posting it to your social media accounts.
