Welcome. This page is in place for those who want to connect and support Tameka Thierry in finding the highest and most qualified specialists in her fight against Stage 4B Gallbladder Cancer.

Tameka Thierry is a forty-nine-year-old, native of Compton, California, and mother of six beautiful children. This is a part of her story and heart for others. Tameka has lived a life with few medical complications before the end months of 2021. During that time, she began experiencing persistent abdominal pain and unexplained indigestion. Tameka acted quickly with her local physicians. Contrary to medical routine, her physicians discovered an infection in her gallbladder, and on January 23rd she was admitted to Kaiser for an emergency gallbladder removal. This is a common procedure, however, during surgery, surgeons discovered that the condition of her gallbladder was much different than anticipated. They decided to conduct a biopsy immediately.

On January 31st, 2022, Tameka received a phone call that altered her life. The biopsy results revealed that she has cancer in her gallbladder with a strong probability of it being in other areas of her body. The news has shaken Tameka and her family mentally and emotionally as it would any of our families, however, in the confidence of hope and in the move and desire to share her story with others, Tameka has made effort daily to learn about this cancer and share what she is learning about it in this new phase of life.

Tameka upholds tremendous dignity, compassion, poise and continued love for her family and children, and grandchildren. She is currently documenting her story daily via social media from the heart of sharing with other families who may encounter this type of challenge medically.  Tameka awaits more news, updates, and tests while she and her family adjust to a new lifestyle and regimen. She and her family have been in contact with some of the most clinically regarded and researched professionals in the nation. They are acting intentionally and urgently.

Tameka and her family know that Gallbladder Cancer is an extremely rare form of cancer. It is challenging to detect and is often not found until later advanced stages. However, with the support from a community, close and far, her ambition has not waned. We would love for you to partner with the Tameka’s family in this effort, her husband Edwin Thierry, her daughters and sons, and close friends.

A mothers’ love is said to be second only to God’s. To all the family and friends that know this beautiful woman, this statement is felt and will be felt in each one of your contributions. With deep love and gratitude, thank you.
