Fight Industrial Warehouse Invasion in Buckingham

Donation protected
In the heart of picturesque Buckingham, PA, where narrow country roads wind through rolling farmland, a David and Goliath battle is brewing. Land owners, The DiGirolamos, a local political family, have partnered with a New Jersey based developer, JG Petrucci, and set their sights on constructing a massive 150,000 square foot distribution center & warehouse, with 30 truck bays calling for 90 DAILY tractor trailer trips, in our beloved small town. The small local roads and intersections, of both Buckingham and Plumstead, were never constructed to safely accommodate the truck traffic that this will bring.

We refuse to let our community be overrun by industrial giants. This isn't just about preserving our quaint landscape; it's about safeguarding our way of life, protecting our families and roads, and preserving the essence of Buckingham for generations to come.

We've rallied together, but now we need your help. With no shortage of ideas, and a community prepared for this battle, we need your help to pay for things like signs, flyers, mailings, and other cause related needs to raise far greater awareness of this issue. We are confident that the initial requested amount of $5,000 will allow us to further accelerate our vocal opposition, but more funds may, of course, be needed as time goes on. We must make the DiGirolamo Family, the current landowners aware that there are far more appropriate uses for their land and our Township Supervisors aware that they must refuse to grant any waiver that has been requested by the developer of this project. We must fight as a community to stop this distribution center & warehouse by all means possible!

Together, we can stand up to the forces threatening to reshape Buckingham and neighboring Plumstead, into something unrecognizable. Join us in our fight to preserve the charm, tranquility, and unique character of our beloved community. Together, we can protect these towns from becoming just another casualty of unchecked development.

All projects funded will be approved by a majority of the Steering Committee and withdrawals will be taken from the GoFundMe account on an as needed basis. At a determined conclusion, any and all remaining unused funds will be returned to all donors on a prorated % basis. If for any reason a refund cannot be completed, we will work as a committee and donate remaining funds to a local charity.
