Fight Like an Angel

Angel was diagnosed with T -cell Leukemia on May 3, 2017. It started with a cold, feeling tired, abdominal pain, unexplained bruises and a nose bleed. After her pediatician did lab tests she sent us to Childrens Hospital ER for further evaluation which confirmed it. Angel went to ICU and started chemo that day which has turned into a 2 1/2 year treatment plan. After the first 30 days they did a bone marrow biopsy to see if the treatment was working. It was not. This changed her level of reoccurence from low to high risk. Her treatment plan changed and became more aggressive. With that, Angel has had many hospital stays with multiple side effects. Angel is now in month 7 of her treatment. Her last 2 bone marrow biopsies have been negstive!!! We are moving in the right direction. They tell us completion day will be August of 2019.
This month they are adding another chemo to her regime that they feel is helpful for the risk group she’s in. If she relapses it will be very difficult to get rid of it a second time in order to have a bone marrow transplant.

With her everyday struggles we ask for your prayers and support. Time is taking a toll on the family emotionally and financially. Medical expenses and upcoming expected unpaid time off from work over the next 2 years. If you are able to donate we would greatly appreciated it.
